Columbus Impact Academy Participant Application
Welcome to the application for the Columbus Impact Academy, an immersive six-month leadership experience presented by the Columbus Young Professionals Club.
Designed for emerging professionals and high-potential associates, the Impact Academy helps participants strengthen their leadership skills, expand their professional network, and develop a deeper connection to the Columbus community. From October 2026 through March 2027, you'll join a diverse cohort of 50-60 professionals representing businesses, nonprofits, government agencies, educational institutions, and entrepreneurial ventures across Central Ohio.
Together, you'll discover a greater sense of place, purpose, and potential while learning from executive storytellers, community leaders, entrepreneurs, and fellow participants who are passionate about shaping the future of our region.
What to Expect
Throughout the six-month experience, participants will engage in more than 30 hours of immersive leadership development, including:
Interactive leadership workshops
Executive storytelling and community conversations
Team-building experiences
Volunteer and community service projects
Behind-the-scenes tours and experiential learning throughout Columbus
Meaningful networking with fellow emerging leaders
With fewer than 10 hours taking place during the traditional workday, the journey is designed to fit the schedules of busy professionals.
Participants also receive:
A Columbus Impact Academy workbook and journal
Twelve months of CYPremium Membership in the Columbus Young Professionals Club (a $75 value)
Ongoing access to a growing network of Academy alumni and community leaders
Most sessions are held on Wednesday evenings (6:00–8:30 PM), with occasional Friday afternoon experiences (2:00–4:00 PM) and select weekend volunteer projects or community excursions.

Tuition
Tuition is $750 and includes all sessions, program materials, experiences, and CYPremium Membership.
A limited number of scholarships and employer sponsorship opportunities are available.
